Arabescato Carrara Marble

The sculptural elegance of Italy’s most expressive marble

Arabescato Carrara Marble is one of the most noble and recognizable varieties of Italian marble. Quarried from the historic Carrara region, it is distinguished by its bright white background, crossed by bold and dynamic grey veining that creates natural patterns of striking visual impact.

Unlike more uniform marbles, Arabescato stands out for its artistic and expressive character, turning each piece into a unique decorative element. It is a natural stone designed for projects where marble does not merely complement the space, but becomes its true focal point.

Aesthetics and design

Arabescato Carrara brings a sophisticated, contemporary and timeless aesthetic. Its contrasting veining adds visual depth and movement, making it ideal for:

  • High-end, elegant interiors

  • Contemporary design spaces

  • Exclusive residential projects

  • Hotels, boutiques and premium contract spaces

Each tile or slab features unique natural variations, an added value that confirms its authenticity and enhances the final result.

Recommended applications

Thanks to its versatility, Arabescato Carrara marble is suitable for multiple interior applications:

  • Wall cladding

  • Interior flooring

  • Bathrooms and wellness areas

  • Countertops and decorative backsplashes

  • Staircases and architectural elements

Not recommended for outdoor use without specific treatment due to its calcareous nature.

Available finishes

Depending on the project and the desired effect, Arabescato Carrara is available in different finishes:

  • Polished: maximum shine, enhanced veining and a luxurious feel

  • Honed / satin: silky touch, more natural and contemporary appearance

Difference between Classic Carrara Marble and Arabescato Marble

Although both originate from the prestigious Carrara quarries (Italy) and share a characteristic white background, Classic Carrara and Arabescato differ in aesthetics, visual intensity and decorative use.

Arabescato retains the typical Carrara white base but is distinguished by its thicker, more intense and highly contrasted grey veining, creating dynamic and irregular patterns.

Arabescato is a more exclusive variety within Carrara marbles. It is quarried in smaller quantities and carefully selected for its bold veining, making it rarer and generally more expensive than Classic Carrara.
